Business Development Representative

Since 2006, we have surveyed and analyzed feedback from 14 million employees at over 40,000 organizations as a part of the Top Workplaces program.  Research shows that organizations that become Top Workplaces are better able to attract and retain top talent. Plus, having a say through the survey helps these employees stay engaged. Through Top Workplaces, we have found that companies with engaged employees outperform their peers.

Our Business Development Representatives are focused on recruiting companies to participate in the regional Top Workplaces program.  They reach out to companies over the phone and by email to educate them about the Top Workplaces program and its benefits. The goal is to turn these interactions into participants for the program.

We provide training and lots of growth opportunities through regular coaching with your manager, team leader and access to senior leaders. 

What you would do:

  • Educate companies about participating in a Top Workplaces program
  • Conduct warm calls (50-70 day) to businesses across the U.S.
  • Hand off qualified leads to our new business sales team
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a company that is growing and evolving
  • Contribute to team and company goals through your own efforts and encouragement of other team members
  • Track daily productivity and correspondence with companies in Salesforce

Who you should be:

  • A self-motivated, go-getter with a ‘can do, make it happen’ attitude
  • Open to training and feedback- you will get lots of both
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer success
  • Exceptional written / verbal communication skills and confidence speaking with senior leaders
  • Sales or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook), LinkedIn and other business applications
